 In
our vineyards, the malvasia vines grow alongside roses.
These roses are specially selected so that, by way of a
continuous osmosis, the plants exchange scents and
sensations which this wine then transmits to its taster.
Malvasia, an essential species of vine of the Chianti area,
to which the different grapes belong, has been cultivated
for many centuries.

Our vines, like all the produce of our farm, are organically grown following
the procedures. This wine has been awarded several prizes as you can see
from the list of awards and prizes. Our vines are classified IGT
(Indicazione Geografica Tipica). A dry white wine to be drunk in a Renana
wine glass, at 12°, in order to appreciate all the depths of flavours and
scents. It should be tasted young, uncorked at the moment, as an aperitif or
with hors-d'oevres, fish and seafood. As an aperitif, some tasters add three
drops of redcurrant liquor.
The vineyard is called "Piaggia delle Rose" with respect to the rose bushes
that grow alongside the vines. |
