Authentic organic produce in Castiglion Ubertini

Il Pino is dedicated exclusively to organic farming, all certified by ICEA. The Castiglion Ubertini farm has received a special mention at the 2004 selection of Tuscan Wines and the diploma of merit at the 2006 and 2008 Tuscan Wines Selection in addition to silver medals from Bio Di Vino 2009 and the "Mercurio d'Oro" award in 2005.

The farmhouse wine cellar

The cellar of the Master Caninieri D'I Pino contains only grapes from organic crops used to produce the following wines: Piaggia Delle Rose Organic IGT: Pure Malvasia Bianca; Tardivo delle Rose IGT BIO: Pure White Malvasia Toscana, late harvest, award-winning wine (Winner of the 2004 Tuscany Wine Selection and silver medal at BIO Di Vino 2009, organic wines featuring in BIO Di Vino 2012) and Biolwine 2012) Rubis degli Ubertini IGT Rosso Toscano BIO: melange of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and black Malvasia (Diploma of merit for the selection of Vini Di Toscana 2006, judged excellent by Wine Web Usa with 88/90, eighth selection of Wines Of Tuscany 2008, Wine Of Women, Diploma Of Merit, Diploma Of Great Mention at the BIO Wine Festival 2009, Wines Of Italy 2010, Gambero Rosso 2 Bicchieri, Yearbook of the Best Italian Wines 2010 - Luca Maroni and special mention at Biolwine 2012) Organic Carponius Chianti DOCG: Sangiovese, Canaiolo, Malvasia Bianca and Malvasia Nera - skilfully created respecting rural tradition (Special Mention at Biolwine 2012); rponius IGT BIO: mainly composed of Sangiovese grapes. It is passed 1/3 in wood and the remaining 2/3 in steel, with a total ageing of 2 years, thus creating a fresh and persistent wine with maturity and woody flavour; Intuito IGT Rosso Toscano BIO: Pure Cabernet Sauvignon, aged in Tonneaux for 18 months, creating a wine with a bright ruby red color and a unique spicy flavor.

Organic produce

Many other products are born from the laboratories of the master confectioners of the Pino, always using the organic crops. Among these are: BIO jams of grapes, strawberries and dog rose. The first two, low in sugar, are composed of apples (which thicken and sweeten), cane sugar, lemon juice (acidifier), and of course grapes and strawberries, strictly coming directly from our fields. The third, also with a low sugar content, it is made with cane sugar,  “Piaggia Delle Rose” white wine and Rosa Canina berries coming directly from the fields of and cleaned from seeds; BIO acacia honey, millefiori and Rosa Canina, produced from organic bees; BIO Tuscan IGP Oil, coming directly from the olive trees that surround the farmhouse in Castiglion Ubertini. Ithas won numerous awards (AVPA awards 2016, 2017 and 2018 and Armonia award 2014, first place in the delicate fruit category).
